The Faroe Islands are a group of 18 islands of volcanic origin in the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean between Great Britain, Iceland and Norway. 

The Faroe Islands are located 62 degrees North, but it still has a surprisingly mild climate due to the Gulf Stream. The average temperature in the hottest months is 13°C, and in winter, it is 3°C. Here live approx. 51,000 inhabitants on 1,399 km²
